It is said that at least 40 pairs of hands have touched one’s coffee before its arrival in a cup. As a proponent of open, transparent trading partnerships based on dialogue and respect, our beans are sourced with careful consideration in support of sustainability, traceability and transparency.
We source green beans from over 30 farms around the globe, and we do direct trade with many, allowing for a fair price for the farmers and their families.
In addition to paying a fair price, we also cooperate with several NGOs that are linked to the farms we trade with. In Brazil we support a “Women in Coffee” program, in Honduras we support a “Youth Empowerment” program and in Yunnan (China) we work with MediCare to support the Lisu minority from where we purchase our beans.
Coffee knowledge and education is a crucial pillar and we pride ourselves on providing each of our baristas with the proper tools to enhance their practical skills and at the same time, deepen their understanding of the entire coffee chain. Starting from strong basic, fundamental barista skills, to more advanced, deeper topics - a wide range of holistic and comprehensive courses are incorporated into a TCA barista's career, ensuring a continuous learning process. Naturally, this is to ensure that high service standards are achieved and to create the best coffee experiences for our customers.
Led by our dedicated coffee team, we extend such courses to our customers in our public coffee workshops.
